My name is Claire Kirby. Writing has always been my passion. Since I was a little girl creating exaggerated tales of my weekend adventures at school. It was something I had a natural flair for and went on to study further at college.
I graduated from university with a degree in Marketing & Communications. After this I put my writing skills to use working in house in the B&Q Marketing department. Writing point of sale material from banners, to brochures about tiles and trampolines, plants and plumbing, cafes and can’t be beaten prices.
In 2014 after the birth of my second child I started writing my own blog, Life Love & Dirty Dishes, to satisfy my desire to write, and do something creative. I wrote about the good the bad, and the ugly and the beautiful moments of parenting. I found I had a voice that had a resonance with my readers. My blog grew quickly and was nominated for several awards. I won the BritMums Brilliance in Blogging award for Readers Choice. Several of my posts have gone viral and I still write my blog today.
Writing the blog opened doors for me to contribute to other sites including HuffPost, BritMums, Mummy Pages, Scary Mommy, The Motherload and many more. I have also worked with major brands and smaller brands writing content for them on my blog and taking part in advertising campaigns.
My experience includes a good understanding of search engine optimisation, and creating engaging social media content. My marketing background and writing skills together enable me to write copy that has a clear message, engages an audience, and helps to boost sales.
All of this experience lead to the launch of my own copywriting businesses. I work with clients directly, and I work as a ghostwriter for other copywriters outsourcing work, to enable them time to grow their client base.
My content is always thoroughly researched and targeted towards your audience and whatever stage of the marketing funnel you require.
I am very organised (nicknamed the spreadsheet queen) and work to deadlines.
